Bonnie has over 30 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary energy and environmental projects focusing on the interaction of society, ecology, and technology. In 2012 she also assumed a position as Sr. Research Scientist and Associate Director at the University of Delaware’s Center for Carbon-free Power Integration. At the CCPI, she develops strategic plans for R&D programs relevant to offshore wind energy. From 2001-2010, she led a cutting-edge program area for the first offshore demonstration projects for wind and marine and hydrokinetic energy in the U.S. supporting the U.S Department of Energy (DOE) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Bonnie provided technical support for several strategic areas, including gigawatt-scale wind deployments, environmental risk assessments, permitting and regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement and siting strategies, and interagency collaborations for both land-based and offshore technologies.
